Are you ready for summer? To help you start this season off on the right foot, I want to share a summer writing craft. This sun craft can be paired with your favorite summer book or as a way to share a summer adventure or memory.

Sun Craft Materials Needed

• Paper (yellow, orange, white)
• Scissors
• Glue Stick and/or Stapler
• Pencil
• Sunsational Writing Craft Templates

Directions

Once everything is printed and cut out, these sun crafts are pretty simple to put together. If you are making the sun craft booklets, have your students complete a piece of writing. Then, stack and staple the pages together. If you are using the craft as a page topper, just glue the sun pieces together and then attach it to the top of a piece of student writing.

There are three different sun designs:

• My Sunsational Summer - kids can share a favorite summer memory or adventure (past or present)
• This Book is Sunsational - kids can share about a favorite book
• Blank - kids can create their own writing
