Quick DIY to Spruce Up Your Centers
12:37 AMIt is finally spring! Hooray! I don't know about you but I love the warmer weather, the buds starting to bloom and the color that starts to reappear in nature. I'm popping over here today from SLPTalk with Desiree to share a quick DIY project that is easy to incorporate into your busy spring schedule using what you may already have, wooden clothespins and Easter egg dye! If you do not have them on hand, they are easy to grab at your local dollar store like I did.
You are going to LOVE how simple this project is. All you do is drop your clothespins in the egg dye that you mix up using the cups provided (I used only water, no vinegar) and let them soak until they reach your color preference. Now you have beautiful new colored clothespins to use in your classroom to hang up student work or use as manipulatives!
One way I like to use clothespins is to make my sight word sticks interactive. They are great for centers and offer pictured representations to help your visual learners as well. You can learn more about the Bundle here which targets Kindergarten, First and Second Grade sight word lists (also available separately).
