Printing on Sticky Notes

8:00 AM

As a teacher and a mom, I love having sticky notes around the house. They are the perfect size to jot a short note or reminder. I even use them to keep track of a few daily tasks. But sometimes I get tired of writing out the same list each day. That's when I realized I could create a quick template and print it out several times on sticky notes. Here's a quick tutorial so you can try this, too.

If you're tired of writing the same notes and reminders each day, try printing them on sticky notes instead. Here's a quick tutorial to get you started.

Materials Needed

  • 3"x 3" sticky notes (I like these and these)
  • Sticky Note Printer Template and Designs (download here)
  • Printer
  • Paper

Prep Work

Print the Sticky Note Printer Template onto paper. If you're planning to print a lot of sticky notes, you may prefer to have multiple copies of this template.

Place one sticky note over each box on the template paper.

Get familiar with how your printer feeds paper. Place the Sticky Note Printer Template (with the sticky notes in place) into your printer. Mine requires me to place the paper upside down, with the top of the page going in first.

Print

Choose one of the Sticky Note Designs. Print one page. Make sure everything appears as it should.

Remove the sticky note you need and place it where it needs to go (on a student's desk, on your bathroom mirror, in your teacher planner, etc.). If you aren't going to use the sticky notes right away, you can leave them on the template page until you are ready. The more you move the sticky notes around, the less sticky they will become.

Have fun printing on sticky notes!
