Spring Hunt Fun for Preschool
5:00 AM
Spring is finally here! Get your little ones geared up for the seasonal change with this cute DIY activity.
My daughter loves to "explore" as do most preschoolers. To celebrate the start of spring we made a cute set of binoculars using spring themed tape and a paper towel roll cut in half.
I taped the two pieces of paper towel rolls together and then Violet made the binoculars by wrapping the tape around them.
Next, I used a paper puncher to punch two holes at the top of one side and added yarn which allowed it to hang around her neck when we were outside walking.
When our binoculars were ready we headed outside with our Spring Hunt Printable.
My daughter loves any activity that gives her a little independence. We were unable to find a few of the the items on the sheet, but it opened up a great discussion about the different signs of spring. We decided to try again in a few weeks to look for leaves on the trees and eggs in our bird houses and the nest near our house.
This activity was a fun way to introduce my 3 year-old to key vocabulary words like, spring, blossom, bud, sprout etc.
I hope you and your little ones will enjoy the activities as much as we have:)
